Consultation Day
Artlab Australia offers a free community information service on the care and conservation of works of art, historic items and your family treasures. This gives you the opportunity to discuss with our specialised conservators the condition and care of your item however large or small.

When you use Artlab treatment services, we will
examine your artwork in the security of our well equipped laboratories and prepare a written quote.

Alternatively, our conservators are readily available to give you some free advice during the appointment on how to minimise further deteroriation with some simple methods and storage solutions.

What happens at a Consultation Day appointment?
The appointment with the conservator is usually for thirty minutes so this gives you ample time to discuss your requirements and any questions you may have about your item. Please note that Artlab does not provide valuations. Appointments are essential.

On what days are the consultations held?
Consultation Days are held on the first and third Tuesday and Thursday of every month throughout the year.

Appointments are from 9.00am to 4.30pm on each half hour. If you are unable to attend a Consultation Day we can arrange an alternative time to suit your needs.

Our location
Artlab is located off Kintore Avenue in Adelaide’s city centre. Please enter via Morgan Thomas Lane at the rear of the State Library.

We are situated in the first courtyard on the left. If you look up high you will see the big Artlab sign on the red brick building.

Car parking
If your item is large we can offer a short term car park just located outside our building. Please advise our receptionist you require a carpark when you book your appointment.
